Root Canal Treatment (RCT)
Root Canal Treatment (RCT)
An Endodontist, often known as a Root Canal Specialist, performs this surgery. The technique entails the following:
- Tooth material that is inflammatory or diseased is removed.
- Disinfection and cleaning
- Using an inert substance to fill and seal
- Crown/cap restoration
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CAN ROOT TREATMENT?
A broken or diseased tooth is treated with a root canal. Cracked or broken teeth, decay, and gum disease can all lead to infection.
Root canal therapy is critical because it stops the infection from spreading and preserves the tooth after it has been extracted. RCT improves inflammation-related discomfort.
PROCESS OF CANAL ROOT TREATMENT:
Step 1: To evaluate the degree and approach of the illness, the first step is to obtain an X-ray. Before beginning therapy, a local anaesthetic is used.
Step 2: The cavity must then be prepared in the second stage. A cavity is prepped by removing any infectious dental material or prior fillings and establishing a proper route to the tooth's centre (pulp).
Step 3: After that, the canal will be sterilised and shaped. The diseased pulp is cleansed, shaped, and cleaned completely. Sterilization is achieved completely.
Step 4: After the canals have been cleaned and disinfected, they are sealed and filled with GuttaPercha, an inert rubber infill material.
Step 5: The repair and crown are the last steps. A filling was used to repair the CAVITY crown, which was subsequently followed with a permanent crown/crown.
